How to Submit your Blogger blog to Google Webmaster Tools and Verify It

If your blog is hosted on Google's blogspot.com, then it is very important that you submit your blog to Google Webmaster Tool and verify it. You can verify your blog on Google webmaster tool using a meta tag verification method which i am going to tell you how to do now. Google Webmaster Tool is very useful tool that gives you vital information about your site's performances. This tool also tells you whenever Google search engine can't crawl your site and the necessary instructions to follow and improve it.

Recently i got a message that Google-Bot can't crawl my site and i resolve it immediately using this webmaster tool. I think this tool is a necessity for all bloggers and webmasters and shouldn't be ignored. If you are not using it yet, then you should consider it now.

How to Submit your Blog to Google webmaster tools and Verify it

Below are the steps to follow if you haven’t verify your blogger blog on Google webmaster tools.
1. Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ and click on add site at your right hand side.

2. Enter your blog URL, E.G. www.cyracksinternetbiz.com and click the continue button.
You will taken to a verify ownership page.

3. Click on Alternate Method and select HTML tag verification method. Then copy the codes provided for you.
You will have to Add a meta tag to your site's home page.

4. Now go to your blogg and sign in. from the blogger dashboard, click on Template and then click Edit HTML.

5. Use CTRL + F to find this tag <head> and paste the meta tags you copied immediately after the <head> element inside your html template then click save template button.  

6. After saving successfully, go to your webmaster tool manage verification page, click verify to confirm that the meta tag verification is successfully done. If done successfully, your blog has now been submitted to Google webmaster tools. You can now start checking your webmaster tool report from time to time, use the records stats to improve your blog.

You should also submit your blog sitemap to Google webmaster tools to help Google index your pages. After you submitted your sitemap, wait for Google to start showing statistics on your webmaster tool and then come and read the following post to help you improve your blog traffic.
